Professional services
Initial consulatations and sessions can be in- person or online.
Initial meeting: (70 minutes)
This allows you time to explore your concerns with me, and for us to think together about your needs. It will also give us the opportunity to see how we might work together, consider your options, and allow time for any questions you may have about the process of therapy. An initial meeting can help you gain a grasp of your of needs, collect your thoughts, and begin to understand what is troubling you. We would agree at the end of this session if you would like to meet again for some further sessions.
Counselling and psychotherapy (50 minute session)
Following an initial meeting, and having discussed your needs in depth, I may suggest short-term counselling or psychotherapy on an open-ended basis. It may be that we choose to schedule a few sessions in the first instance to think about your needs.
Sessions are mostly held weekly, and in some circumstances twice weekly, at the same time and location and run for 50 minutes. I encourage you to bring whatever is on your mind to your sessions. This enables us to explore your concerns in a way that unfolds and allows for new understandings to be made. Contacting a therapist can be a difficult and anxiety provoking decision for some people.
